Dylan Cease is the MVP of the World Series of Sports
Since the World Series rematch between Dodgers/Yankes in 1977–78, there has not been a World Series match. Therefore, I’m not inclined to predict another Dodgers/Rays Fall Classic. While both the White Sox & Braves have suffered from periods of mediocrity this year, both teams are at their peak. Atlanta won 12 of the last 14 games to close out its regular season, beating Seattle (11–3). Ian Anderson’s reinstatement should give the Braves enough rotation depth to reach the NL playoffs. They will lose to Dylan Cease and the White Sox in the World Series. Cease hails from Georgia, and is expected to be a star in Chicago’s first championship run since 2005.

The current drought without a second World Series champion is the longest in MLB, NBA NFL or NHL history. The Dodgers’ NL West-winning streak came to an abrupt halt in a year when they won 106 games. All of this seems to add up to the fact that this is the year we end the dry spell. Clayton Kershaw and Max Muncy were both injured in the accident, which puts doubt on their dominance. However, we have seen much more remarkable things than a 106 win team winning Fall Classic. And if I’m wrong, the Giants will win in five. I would then pencil them in to win the World Series title. The NL West team is so good. Remember that this is the first MLB game in which two teams with at least 105 wins are in the same league. The strength from West seems unmatched.

WS MVP Devers
I hate making predictions, so I chose the George Costanza approach. I made my decision and then wrote down the other side. Costanza chose chicken on untoasted breaded rye. Costanza went for Boston, while I’m going for St. Louis. This is 2013 all over again, but Jon Lester has switched sides. If I was not doing the exact opposite, I would choose the Dodgers to win the World Series in five games. To be honest, I don’t believe the Red Sox have enough bullpen strength to last an extended stretch. I think the Cardinals will lose to the Dodgers for the second half of the season. The opposite will happen, however, because these are my thoughts. The chicken salad is here! Baseball Picks — Winning Is Easy
